A perfect romantic retreat for two, just outside Ludlow surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Straddling the beautiful rural counties of Herefordshire and Shropshire in the historic village of Richards Castle, Broomer’s Barn is a beautifully appointed single-storey, wooden-clad barn located in a pretty and peaceful setting, with uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside.  Open the bi-folding doors and step straight into the surrounding gardens and fields. A perfect romantic retreat.

With light flooding in through the generous glazing, the ambience at Broomer’s Barn is warm and welcoming. The contemporary furnishings are both elegant and cosy, and the sleek kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials, including a bean to cup coffee machine. When it's time for bed, a romantic space awaits, with velvet curtains, a beautiful vintage chandelier and bedside lights. Guests regularly comment on the cosiness and comfort of the king-size bed which results in a great night’s sleep.

Outside, the modern deck invites you take a moment of calm to contemplate the breath-taking surrounding countryside by day; and by night, take full advantage of the dark skies, and stargaze next to the firepit.

The accommodation is all on one level with wide doorways and no internal steps; a ramp can be provided on request for easier access up the steps at the entrance to the property.

Beautiful Ludlow is 3.5 miles away with lots of lovely eateries and shops, or guests can sharpen their appetites by walking to the nearby village of Orleton and enjoy a meal at one of the two village pubs, both offering great food and local ales.

Guests often enjoy having a look around the owner’s floral design workshop opposite with guests regularly opting to make or purchase a wreath.
