Chocolate Gourmet opened in 1999 to provide the local area with the world's finest chocolate in its various forms.

I've always had a fascination with chocolate and a love of Ludlow and to be able to combine two passions together is more than lucky!

23 years of chocolate and still indulging. Opened in 1999 and now firmly established as one of Ludlow’s independent and destination shops our customers visit us from far and wide.

Here at Chocolate Gourmet we promote quality chocolate for the whole of the Marches area and far beyond. High quality truffles from some of the finest English & continental chocolatiers. Pure organic chocolate, vegan, ‘Grand Cru’ single origin & Fair-trade bars can all be found on the shelves. Our bespoke luxury boxes (hand made in the UK) are a speciality, each box is hand made tied with ribbons.

Summer brings the joy of swifts screaming around the old buildings, after a interesting walk around the town drop by for a delicious ice cream at Chocolate Gourmet, made by third generation Italians using pure ingredients - whole milk & double cream.

Each year we celebrate the seasons, Christmas with lots of especially delicious themed chocolate, great for all ages 8 - 80 and more - not a problem. Valentines day prompts traditional hearts followed by Easter which for us is very special. Our customers choose the colour of the shell then truffles to fill it and finally the theatre of watching the amazing hand tied wrapping created before your very eyes.

Ludlow is a wonderful town to explore during the summer months, history abounds with numerous blue plaque houses all over the town. Our building, overlooking the historic market square, was originally the home of Samuel Stead, a stone mason in the 1800s, hence our very wide doorway. On the side of the building there is one of the largest domestic windows in England. Stead was attempting to avoid window tax but by the time of completion the tax had been abolished!
