Come for proper home-made food and great coffee to our café at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms

Food writer and restaurateur Bill Sewell and his team bring our signature simple but delicious menu to Ludlow.

We’re open 7 days a week. Monday to Saturday 8am to 4pm and all day brunch on Sundays 9am to 3pm.

In the evenings we’re open every Thursday and Friday with special deals for pre-booked meals. And once a month we open on Monday evenings for a folk or jazz café.

Breakfast features bacon and sausages from the Tudge family at Richards Castle. 

Lunch and supper ranges from beef and ale pie, to our acclaimed quiches, through English cassoulet to lentil, leek and White Fox cheese bake with courgettes in tomato and basil sauce. Not to mention our delicious ‘meal in a bowl’ – either puy lentil and greens or dahl with roast chicken.

Everything is made by us on site including the beautiful bread for sandwiches and the cakes to go with our Hundred House coffee. And all our food is available to take away.
