Anne's Art Club | Services

Experienced primary school art teacher and consultant, now providing art clubs at the LAR, local schools and for home education.

Anne has over 15 years experience of working with primary schools, designing and teaching their cross-curriculum art workshops. She has also run art clubs over many years as well as training sessions for teachers. She is DBS advance certified.

Since moving to Ludlow in 2022, Anne joined Ludlow Fringe as a volunteer and coordinated the 2023 Ludlow Carnival Parade. In the summer of 2023, she introduced Anne’s Art Club at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms.

Anne’s Art Club sessions in Studio 1 at the LAR are designed to nurture the enjoyment and passion for art within young children in and around Ludlow.

Anne’s Art Club provides 2 different regular sessions: 
*Two-hour school holiday, family craft sessions for children aged 6-11. 
Thursday morning (10:00-12:00), individually themed sessions to introduce children to creative and practical art craft skills and techniques. Children are encouraged to discover and develop their artistic talents, giving them a sense of achievement while having fun.

*One-hour after-school and home education art clubs for children aged 8-11 aimed at both developing existing and introducing new art skills. A different art technique is taught each session to achieve individual artwork. Over the course of the sessions, throughout the year, the children will be shown how to use specific materials and art media, such as pencil, chalk and oil pastels, charcoal, acrylic, watercolour and poster paints as well as papier-mâché and clay modelling. The children will also learn how the various techniques and styles relate to art movements and famous artists. The sessions will also help prepare the children for their later transition to Key Stage 3.
